Guest Post: Adding Subtle Glitter to Outfits!

Hello ladies!

Today, I bring you a guest post from the online apparel store, Indiarush! Indiarush has to share something interesting about wearing glitter. Here goes! 🙂

If you love creativity, this blog post will be very helpful to you! Here are some new tricks of adding glam and glitter to your wardrobe to make it party ready like never before!

These little tricks will not only save the money that you would have to invest in buying expensive clothes for yourself, but at the same time will also increase your creativity. So, go on and design something new for yourself with the following tricks:

  1. Take up the outfit that you wish to transform and give it a nice little makeover by adding sequined patch of yoke or patti on its sleeves. Even this minute change will enhance the entire appeal of your ensemble and will make it appear new! And if you wish, you can even put the sequined patch on the hemline.
  1. If you do not wish to work hard, you could play it a bit smart! You can go for a dupatta with beautiful sequins booti or motif work with a plain lehenga or salwar suit that you already have. This way, you can smoothly achieve a party ready look without much effort!
  1. While dealing with clothes that have metallic textures and colors, you must carefully choose a contrast of neutral colours like beige, cream, black and grey to come up with the best look! This way, you will be able to balance out a subtle yet shimmery appearance for yourself! You can also do this experiment with your sarees, too!
  1. Go for muted tones of sequin work on garments for getting the glitz and glam in a subtle manner. Always remember that too much glitter and sequins will spoil the ensemble!

I hope this post was helpful to you girls. I’m gonna try out these DIY myself! 😀

Until next time, love from Shruti  ❤

Abstract Love

Hello lovelies! ❤

After a long break, I’m back with a fashion post!

How do you like this shift dress? 🙂

edit 3

This is again, a thrifted dress 😀 (Gosh, I love thrifted stuff). I paired the dress with heels and a clutch-cum-sling bag!

This lovely dress is very simple and yet, very striking! So I kept the look very clean and minimalist, without any bling 🙂

Since this shift dress is colorful, I decided to play up one color, that is, blue. I got these blue wedges from Pune (FC Road, I think!) and the chic blue sling-cum-clutch from Jabong.

I opted for black winged eyeliner and bright pink lips, and my Tissot watch and tiny black ear studs completed the look!

Hope you liked this post! Have a lovely weekend 😀

Formal Lunch and Casual Hangout Outfit

Hey guys! ❤

A few days back, I shared the Fresh Summer Look with you. Today, I’ll share details of the full outfit! 🙂

So for my makeup, I kept it light and fresh. I used a sunblock, covered it with compact and then started with the eye makeup. I used the basic chubby stick kajal from Lakme for my waterline, and a waterproof kajal from Revlon for my lids. I also used Maybelline‘s Hyper Curl Volum Express waterproof mascara on my lashes.

I wore my favourite red lip colour from TommyG cosmetics. They are a Greek brand and the product is AMAZING! The lip color has really high coverage. I have pigmented lips and they cover it up in just one swipe! You can apply 2 coats for a more vibrant colour. It also stays on for 5-6 hours easily without reapplication, WITH food and drinks!

The full outfit:

I kept the accessories to a minimum. Wore small black stud earrings, a medallion necklace and a turquoise beaded bracelet. I kept my nails clean and fresh with just a clear polish ❤

I kept a pair of reflective aviators handy as it was a sunny day 🙂

My top was a formal white one, with no embellishments or print. I paired it with plain black leggings and white, basket weave flats. I also carried a gunmetal grey hangbag 🙂

This outfit can be worn to the office, especially on casual Fridays. It is also perfect for formal lunches, and as evening wear if you’d like to head out for drinks after work. If you’re not a fan of bright red lips, you can even rock this look with your favourite shade of pink or coral! So, what do you think? 🙂

Fresh Summer Look

Hi people! ❤

Today, I decided to keep things understated and yet, striking. I kept the make up minimal and focused only on the eyes and lips. No eye shadow, no contouring! So this is how I looked today! 🙂

For my eyes, I used ONLY kajal (kohl) – I’m a little afraid of liquid liners! 😛

Also, I kept my nails fresh and clean with a clear polish.

I paired this look with a formal white top, black leggings and gunmental grey leather handbag. Detailed post and pictures of my full outfit coming up tomorrow! 😀

The Basic Black Bag

Hello readers!

Today I will introduce you to the Basic Black Bag (or the BBB) which is a must in every girl’s wardrobe. The BBB suits every occasion and almost every outfit!

There are several kinds of bags available in the market today. I’m showcasing some of the best ones to help you quickly grab your favourite 😉

The Satchel – Featuring Fossil

The Tote – Featuring Lavie

The Clutch – Featuring Diwaah

The Hobo – Featuring The Trunk Label

The Sling – Featuring Viari

Now I’ll show you my Basic Black Bag 🙂

This bag is pretty big in size (15 inches diagonally) with a subtle, elegant quilted design. The braided pipe-style strap looks stylish and the tassel detail on the zipper adds uniqueness.

I love the fact that it can transform into almost any kind of bag! 😀

It can work as a tote, as seen in my picture below.

I can hitch it up on my shoulder and use it hobo-style.

It also comes with a detachable long strap. So I use it as a sling bag also! 🙂

I have had this bag for 3 years now, and it has been very loyal to me! From important interviews to crazy parties, this bag of mine has seen it all 😀
