Abstract Love

Hello lovelies! ❤

After a long break, I’m back with a fashion post!

How do you like this shift dress? 🙂

edit 3

This is again, a thrifted dress 😀 (Gosh, I love thrifted stuff). I paired the dress with heels and a clutch-cum-sling bag!

This lovely dress is very simple and yet, very striking! So I kept the look very clean and minimalist, without any bling 🙂

Since this shift dress is colorful, I decided to play up one color, that is, blue. I got these blue wedges from Pune (FC Road, I think!) and the chic blue sling-cum-clutch from Jabong.

I opted for black winged eyeliner and bright pink lips, and my Tissot watch and tiny black ear studs completed the look!

The Whole Nine Yards

Hello readers ❤

A very Happy Independence Day to everyone!

Today I’m back with a post about the traditional Indian ethnic wear – the saree! In my post about my first bloggers’ meet, I told you guys about the meet organised by Triveni ethnic wear.

So after a fiasco with the planned brocade blouse and my internet connection issues, today I’m finally able to share my look, wearing one of their creations! 🙂

To make up for the blouse, I wore a plain black tee and fashioned it into a crop top by knotting it below my bust on the left 😀

I kept the makeup simple but striking, playing withe the sari’s colour scheme of red and gold. I kept the accessories minimal, and went without earrings 🙂

You can see the knot in the next pic..

And here:

So here’s the quick low-down from my day with Triveni:

  1. Triveni is based in Surat. You can visit them at 1018-1025, First Floor, Anupam Textile Market,Ring Road, Surat to look at their full EXTENSIVE collection!
  2. And those who cannot make it to Surat, you should check out theTriveni website! It has a huge range of ethnic wear from sarees and suits to lehengas and kurti!
  3. They have something for the men and kids as well! 😉
  4. They take custom orders. Anything from a pre-pleated saree to a celebrity outfit request, they can do it all!
  5. They are constantly innovating. They showed us fabrics and blends which I had never seen before! Can you imagine shiny crepe?? I saw a beautiful patch of grey crepe, with a golden tone on one side
  6. They are very affordable! I checked out their wedding catalogue, expecting the lehengas to cost 70-80k INR easily cuz they are THAT beautiful. But brace yourselves – the semi-stitched lehengas cost a jaw-dropping 8-10k INR only!

You’ll see that this look can go from elegant to boho in just a flick of the hair 😉

So these were all the pics from the shoot! And here’s my personal favourite ❤

Ps. I’m wearing product number 86001 🙂

5 Beauty Essentials This Monsoon

Hi ladies! ❤

Today, I want to share the 5 most important things that you should swear by, this monsoon. Believe me, monsoons are no less harsh than summer! The humidity makes it impossible for sweat to evaporate, causing us to sweat more! This also activates the oil glands and makes your skin perfectly acne-prone! 😮

I have a really oily T zone, so I have been there! In today’s post, I hope to make your lives easier this monsoon. Let’s take a look at the top 5 Beauty Essentials that are great for monsoon as well as summer 😀

1. Oil-free Sunblock / Sunscreen

Never step out without a good sunblock on. Truth be told, you should wear sunblock ALL the time! I’m currently using the UV Screen Matte Gel from Lotus Herbals. With SPF 50, this sunblock is oil-free and gives a matte effect! Lotus Herbals makes safe, eco-friendly products which don’t harm my sensitive skin 🙂

2. Matte Makeup

Try to avoid liquid lipsticks, gloss and creamy eyeshadows. The Mumbai monsoon and humidity are unforgiving. It won’t take more than 10 mins after you step out, for you makeup to melt and drip :/

Try using a waterproof and oil-proof makeup base. Lacto Calamine is a good option that can be used as a base! 💡

It’s also a great idea to fix your makeup and matte-fy it with a loose powder such as this one from Kryolan ⭐

3. Waterproof Eye Makeup

Besides a waterproof base, foundation and all of those, make sure you use waterproof makeup on your eyes! Waterproof makeup will make sure you don’t look like a raccoon on your big day 😛

I’m currently using Hyper Curl Volum Express mascara from Maybelline.

Other great options are Maybelline’s Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara and Rimmel London’s Volume Flash Max Bold Curves Mascara 🙂

4. Wet Wipes / Tissues

Always keep a pack of wet wipes or face tissues handy! The humidity makes us sweaty and oily, but a quick swipe with a wet wipe can save the day! 😉

I’m currently loving Rose and Thyme Toning Wipes from Kara ❤

5. Purified Water

The last thing which is very important! I can’t stress enough, the importance of staying hydrated. With all the sweating in monsoon, our bodies lose great amounts of water. Drink water at regular intervals to keep your bodily mechanisms in good shape!

Hydrated skin means healthy, bouncy, glowing skin 😉

Hope you liked my post and found it helpful!

Until next time..Keep dreaming ❤

EveryDay Makeup by Professionals

Hello people! ❤

Today I’m sharing my experience with one of the best and biggest brands of professional makeup – Kryolan.

I visited their Mumbai (Bandra) outlet last week and had a fabulous time!

Kryolan City is a big outlet with a studio and a team of 6 makeup artists, managed by Neetu Ahluwalia. I had a great time chatting with her 😀

We decided that I needed a makeover 😛

This is how I looked before the makeover

We decided on a day party look, with smokey eyes. The makeup artist created a black and bronze smokey look, with delicate pink lips. A black eyeshadow, bronze eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara were used to create this subtle smokey eye. In the next photo, I’m wearing Kryolan’s Ultra Foundation, Face Liner 36, Illusion Highlighter Nappa, Mexico City Eyeshadow Palette and Lipstick LC122.

So this is my makeover! This natural look is great for lunch, shopping, catching up with friends and drinks in the evening 🙂

As you can see, my skin looks FLAWLESS. I have a really oily T-zone and this makeup fixed it! And this is not even full fledged makeup!

A bit about Kryolan – They focus on the science behind makeup products and make light, safe and animal cruelty free makeup! They have a huge range of products for diverse skin types and geography, AND keep updating themselves in keeping with technology. The latest is their HD makeup that I’m wearing 😎

If you like my look and want to try it out, you can get a demo at their studio! Find them at Kryolan City Mumbai, Shop # 2, Silver Pearl Building, Waterfield Road, Bandra (West), Mumbai. You can contact (022) 26551713 for queries 🙂

Have a great time and stay tuned for an upcoming Kryolan Giveaway! ^^’

Fresh Summer Look

Hi people! ❤

Today, I decided to keep things understated and yet, striking. I kept the make up minimal and focused only on the eyes and lips. No eye shadow, no contouring! So this is how I looked today! 🙂

For my eyes, I used ONLY kajal (kohl) – I’m a little afraid of liquid liners! 😛

Also, I kept my nails fresh and clean with a clear polish.

I paired this look with a formal white top, black leggings and gunmental grey leather handbag. Detailed post and pictures of my full outfit coming up tomorrow! 😀
