Today I want to share something exciting with you. I’m sure many of you share the same guilty pleasure with me, that is shopping online 😛

And what better than discount coupons to shed our guilt of shopaholism? O:)

So today, I’ll share my no-guilt pass with you – CouponzGuru.com! This website is not only an aggregator of discount coupons but also gives you exclusive offers for brands like Jabong, Stalkbuylove, Amazon, Koovs, LenskartYepme and Askmebazaar!

So, here goes my experience on Couponzguru:

A pop-welcomed me to the site, encouraging me to sign up for free coupons. I’m all for it – count me right in! 😉

The home page is filled with a myriad of coupons – Ebay, Askmebazaar, American Swan, Lenskart, Shopclues, Yepme, Paytm etc etc.

There’s something for everyone on Couponzguru. Travel, banking, food :burrito:, electronics, fashion, domestics and even mobile recharge!

As a fashion blogger, and simply as someone who want a new top, I decided to go for clothing coupons! 😀

They have it all – Flipkart, Jabong, Amazon, Stalkbuylove, Trendin, Shoppers Stop and Faballey, just to name a few.

After exploring for a while, I decided to go with Jabong’s Flat 20% Off (on new arrivals) coupon! It led me to a new tab with this popup:

In the previous tab, I had been directed to the Jabong merchant site where I could shop. SO convenient! After some tedious browsing, I fell for this beautiful yellow top (worth INR 1299) which is perfect for both work and play.

Using the flat 20% off offer from Couponzguru, I was able to get the top for INR 1091 😀

Next, I realised that I needed to get some skincare products. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found a flat 30% off coupon for Lotus products from Askmebazaar!

I ended up ordering this skincare combo which has all my favourite products – and at an unbeatable price.

To sum it up, I had a smooth sail on Couponzguru. I had only a few “hiccups” – when I came across some expired coupons. But the sheer availability of many more coupons made up for it I guess 😉

5 Beauty Essentials This Monsoon

Hi ladies! ❤

Today, I want to share the 5 most important things that you should swear by, this monsoon. Believe me, monsoons are no less harsh than summer! The humidity makes it impossible for sweat to evaporate, causing us to sweat more! This also activates the oil glands and makes your skin perfectly acne-prone! 😮

I have a really oily T zone, so I have been there! In today’s post, I hope to make your lives easier this monsoon. Let’s take a look at the top 5 Beauty Essentials that are great for monsoon as well as summer 😀

1. Oil-free Sunblock / Sunscreen

Never step out without a good sunblock on. Truth be told, you should wear sunblock ALL the time! I’m currently using the UV Screen Matte Gel from Lotus Herbals. With SPF 50, this sunblock is oil-free and gives a matte effect! Lotus Herbals makes safe, eco-friendly products which don’t harm my sensitive skin 🙂

2. Matte Makeup

Try to avoid liquid lipsticks, gloss and creamy eyeshadows. The Mumbai monsoon and humidity are unforgiving. It won’t take more than 10 mins after you step out, for you makeup to melt and drip :/

Try using a waterproof and oil-proof makeup base. Lacto Calamine is a good option that can be used as a base! 💡

It’s also a great idea to fix your makeup and matte-fy it with a loose powder such as this one from Kryolan ⭐

3. Waterproof Eye Makeup

Besides a waterproof base, foundation and all of those, make sure you use waterproof makeup on your eyes! Waterproof makeup will make sure you don’t look like a raccoon on your big day 😛

I’m currently using Hyper Curl Volum Express mascara from Maybelline.

Other great options are Maybelline’s Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara and Rimmel London’s Volume Flash Max Bold Curves Mascara 🙂

4. Wet Wipes / Tissues

Always keep a pack of wet wipes or face tissues handy! The humidity makes us sweaty and oily, but a quick swipe with a wet wipe can save the day! 😉

5. Purified Water

The last thing which is very important! I can’t stress enough, the importance of staying hydrated. With all the sweating in monsoon, our bodies lose great amounts of water. Drink water at regular intervals to keep your bodily mechanisms in good shape!

Hydrated skin means healthy, bouncy, glowing skin 😉

10 Things To Do For The Best Workout

So you’ve paid the gym membership, watched Rocky Lara Croft 4 times, bought protein supplements and changed your Whatsapp status to “At the gym”. Now what? Today, I’m listing some Do’s and Don’ts of gymming which will ensure a good workout for you (and others). Let’s get cracking!

  1. Get a Good Pair of Running Shoes

Carry these shoes to the gym and change there. The point being, the gym must be a dustless environment and besides, no one wants to see that chewing gum on your sole while you are busy doing leg extensions.

  1. Don’t Repeat Gym Clothes

So you’ve had a strenuous workout and got drenched in sweat. You go home and dry that tshirt and there is no odour next day. DO NOT WEAR THAT TSHIRT TO THE GYM! As soon as you sweat for a second time, you will become a weapon of mass destruction.

  1. Powder your Feet and Change your Socks Before Every Workout. Enough said.
  2. Stay Hydrated

Have water in the breaks between sets. First things first, staying hydrated is important. During workout, your body needs energy and there will be times when your body will start burning muscle for energy. Having water will prevent that to an extent.

  1. Pop a Mint Whenever your Mouth is Dry

After a serious workout, you are dehydrated and your mouth is dry. At this point, you WILL have bad breath. Save yourself the embarrassment and others the torment, and have a mint.

  1. Always Maintain Proper Form

Remember that it’s about how you lift, than how much you lift. A bench press with 10 pounds and proper form will give you more gains than lifting 40 pounds with an improper posture. Always ask your trainer to demonstrate the correct form before you try anything.

  1. Don’t Work Out for More Than an Hour in One Session

Anabolic (muscle building/toning) = good and catabolic (muscle destruction) = bad. Our body is designed to work at an extreme (anabolic state) for an hour, beyond which the body goes into catabolic mode and starts burning muscle instead of carbohydrates and that is definitely not what you want.

  1. Supplement your Diet with Fibres and Vitamins

It’s not only about egg whites and chicken breasts (read ‘proteins’); your body needs roughage and fibres for proper functioning of the digestive system. Also, when your body is burning those carbohydrates, it creates “pollutants” which have a muscle-diminishing effect. Vitamins counter these pollutants.

  1. Get Rest

Remember, it’s not during the workout but during the rest that your body tones/builds muscles. The pump that you see during the workout is just lactic acid produced during workout. But the actual muscle density increases when your body repairs your muscles during sleep.

These are the commandments that every beginner should follow to make their gymming experience a pleasant one. Proper hygiene, diet, form and rest will definitely give you the gains for which you decided to work out in the first place. And if you wondered why the list ended at an awkward number 9, the 10th commandment is the most important.
