Today I’m sharing a review with you, and the “thing” in focus is a newly-opened food joint in Delhi NCR (Faridabad, to be precise).
Welcome to Abana, The Food Cabana 😀
So, this takeaway joint opened just a month ago, and is making waves! Started by a couple of youngsters like you and me (one of them being my best friend ❤ ), Abana has been warmly welcomed by Faridabad!
Abana is a food takeout joint, but you can also eat right there – they have set up a couple of tables and chairs – or simply, in your car like I witnessed.
With a diverse menu that offers comfort food like Mac-n-Cheese and Belgian Fries, the foodies of Faridabad need not rush to Delhi to satisfy their waffle cravings either 😀
Apart from these treats, Abana is also serving mouthwatering pizza cones and – wait for it – DEEP FRIED OREOS, served with ICE CREAM topped with CHOCOLATE CHIPS *tears up with emotion*
If this doesn’t scream DELICIOUSNESS to you, God bless you!
It’s safe to say that I loved the fries! The fries were thick (not the crispy kind), but that went well with the cheesy topping. Served with two sauces, it was yum. I loved the garlic mayo way too much and found that Abana makes their own garlic mayo 😀
Next, I tried the Chicken Tortilla Wrap, but quickly realised that I wasn’t a fan. I found the wrap a little too greasy and a little lacking in flavour. Maybe garlic mayo can fix that? 😉
Also, it was served with salsa and sour cream. The salsa was pretty fresh and zingy, whereas the sour cream was cottony instead of creamy. Hopefully, this will be taken care of, as the admin appreciated the feedback 🙂
For dessert, I had the Deep Fried Oreos, served with molten (slightly) Vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate chips. To be honest, it was a very rich dessert. But when combined with the ice cream, it simply blew my mind. I really wanted to have more although I was full to bursting extent.
To sum it up, Abana is a place I would love to go back to. The food is delectable. The prices range from reasonable to a little steep, but not expensive. AND the quality of food and portion sizes are generous.
And a lovely thing I found – Abana bakes their own pizza cones and nachos. Every thing is made in-house!
I’ve been to Abana twice now and continue to like the food. I tried the Nutella crepes and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich also, and enjoyed them both!
Visit them at: Number 163, Opposite Community Centre, Sector 14, Faridabad.
Last I heard, they’ve introduced Iced Teas and Pastas. Excited to try them! I’m waiting for more of their Summer Specials 😀
So, have you guys been to Abana, yet?? How was your experience? Do let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
Love from Shruti xx
